Here at Acclaim FCU, we believe in empowering our members with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve financial wellness. Zogo is the latest addition to our commitment to providing you with valuable resources to make informed financial decisions.

We launched the Community Connect initiative to foster community engagement and address food insecurity by partnering with local organizations. In 2023, our employees volunteered with several groups, including One Step Further’s Community Support and Nutrition Program (CSNP), where they helped with grocery assistance and home delivery services. Our efforts were recognized by the United Way, earning us the Dora Maxwell award for the third consecutive year.

After a remarkable career, Valerie Marsh is retiring as President/CEO of Acclaim FCU, having grown the credit union's assets from $23 million to $60 million since 2007. Christie Smith, who has been with Acclaim since 2016 and served as Interim CEO in 2023, will officially step into the President/CEO role in January 2024. Christie brings over two decades of experience and is dedicated to continuing Acclaim's success by prioritizing the needs of its members.

Acclaim Federal Credit Union is celebrating International Credit Union (ICU) Day on October 19, 2023, with in-person events featuring food trucks, fun activities, and giveaways at their branch from 11am to 2pm. They are also hosting an online Facebook giveaway, where participants can enter by sharing their top three financial tips and opting in for notifications. Additionally, Acclaim is offering a special promotion from October 16-20, 2023, where approved auto loans can receive up to $200 cash back.

Acclaim's upcoming CardNav Card Controls give users greater control over their credit and debit cards, enhancing financial security and convenience. With features like instant card freezing, customizable spending limits, and location-based controls, users can prevent unauthorized transactions, tailor card usage, and receive real-time alerts for suspicious activity. Additionally, CardNav provides detailed transaction tracking and spending reports, helping users make informed financial decisions and manage their money more effectively.

Acclaim FCU is proud to to announce that our very own CEO/President, Valerie Marsh, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Awards Gala last month.

Acclaim FCU will hold its Annual Meeting of Members on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:00 PM. This year’s meeting will be in person with a virtual option.
