2022 marks the 50th Anniversary for Acclaim Federal Credit Union. Everyday we work to provide quality financial products to you, presented with outstanding member service and education, so we can be the financial partner you trust. We are so thankful for our members and community for your continued support over the years. We could have not done it without you!
To show our gratitude, we have launched a 50 Acts of Kindness Campaign.
A little kindness goes a long way. Throughout the year we will be showing random acts of kindness to our members, community, and staff.

Participated in the You Matter Campaign. Our employees handed out YOU MATTER cards to random people and members.
Lunch for our Mailman. We presented our mailman with a giftcard to a local lunch favorite.
Participated in the Give a Kid a Coat Campaign. We hosted a donation box in our lobby to gather new and gently used coats to help those in need this winter.
On our all Staff Training Day, we made Cards for Hospitalized Kids. This is an internationally recognized charitable organization spreading hope and joy to hospitalized kids across America through uplifting, handmade cards.
We randomly surprised a member in our lobby with a Clutch Coffee Bar Gift Card.
We collected book donations and distributed to local Little Free Libraries in our communities.
We handed our candy to our members for Valentine’s Day.
We surprised the Greensboro Urban Ministry with a giant cookie tray.
Our Lending Supervisor, Cesar, participated in the Read Across America Spirit week on Wacky Wednesday at Jefferson Elementary School.
We brought a local community fire department a Friday lunch to thank them for their service.
Surprised a member in the lobby with a Target gift card and thanked them for being our member.
We made special gift bags for all the memory care patients at the assisted living facility, Friends Homes.
We volunteered for the Feed the Hunger Packathon which provides meals to vulnerable children who are at risk of starvation or malnutrition.
We sent an email thanking our members for choosing Acclaim FCU as their trusted financial partner.
Our staff donated a variety of needed items for the Family Service of the Piedmont organization.
We gave away free flower seed packs to our members on Earth Day.
We attended the Triad Honor Flight’s Welcome Home Party to welcome our Heroes home from their visit to the Memorials in Washington, DC–their One Last Mission. Our Vice Chairman of the Board, Tommy Riggins, also sits on the Triad Honor Flight’s Board and was on this flight acting as Bus Captain overseeing 40 vets and their guardians!
We surprised a member with a movie pack that includes 2 movie tickets and a $10 concession gift card.
We brought our local post office some cookies from Crumbl.
We donated funds to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
We brought the staff at the Pathways Center, a program of the Greensboro Urban Ministry who provides temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness, doughnuts.
Acclaim hosted a Free Financial Education Workshop to families housed at the Pathways Center.
We raised and donated enough money to send three veterans on the next Flight of Honor.
On our Juneteenth all-staff training day, we volunteered at Backpack Beginnings. This organization delivers child-centric services to feed, comfort, and clothe children in need.
Acclaim hosted a Free Financial Education zoom class to The Pregnancy Network.
We surprised a member with two tickets to Wet’n Wild Water Park.
We left quarters on newspaper stands so folks would get a surprise free newspaper.
We surprised a member with a $50 Amazon gift card.
Brought Crumbl cookies to hospital staff.
Collected and donated supplies for our local animal shelter
Adopted a teacher and helped purchase her Amazon wishlist items for her class
We wrote Thank-you letters to nurses as an appreciation to their dedicated work in their profession
Hosted budget class at The Pregnancy Network

Donated items to the Family Room Triad, who helps to provide resources to foster families and children in need.
Surprised police officers directing traffic with a drink and gift cards
Donated items to Backpack Beginnings
Hosted a Member Appreciation day on International Credit Union day that included free lunch, T-shirt, swag bag, and raffle prizes!
Donated to and volunteered to pack backpacks with the North Piedmont Chapter of Credit Unions to support the Backpack Beginnings Program.

Rang the Bell for the Salvation Army
Participated in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Project, helping to provide Christmas gifts for children around the country.

We donated to the Wentworth Elementary School Backpack Program
